Meet The Dogs
The Therapy of Stories
Each and every dog that comes for treatment has a story to tell. Learn more about their experiences with AJB Therapies below.
Stanley
“Saw the benefits within a few sessions.”
Ted
“I was blown away by it all.”
Twitch
-
…however, one fateful day Twitch came across another American Bulldog much bigger than he. The animal clamped his jaw around Twitch’s neck and flung him violently. This threw Twitch’s spine out of alignment resulting in a severe limp in his rear-left leg.
Twitch’s owner contacted me for Emmett treatment and drove up to Berkshire from Portsmouth for a treatment.
After only one treatment Twitch was back to his normal, ever energetic self.
Nash
-
…unfortunately, as Nash got older he found himself less able to make it up the stairs unaided.
His owner contacted me for Emmett treatment, to which Nash responded very positively. I was informed the owner was purturbed as after treatment Nash was able to jump for the first time in ages and could reach the lowest hanging apples on their apple tree.
Nash was treated regularly over the course of a year until finally the vet suggested it was time to have him put to sleep.
We miss Nash very much but hope he is enjoying munching on apples in doggy-heaven.
Fern
-
…unfortunately, her owner noticed an immbalance in Fern’s hips. She showing signs of wear, tear and fatigue. Emmett Technique was used to successfully rebalance Fern so she could continue to compete. Her owner was so pleased with the result that she attended a one-day Introductory Course for Dogs to learn Emmett Techniques for herself.
Codie
-
…his owner reported she couldn’t leave the room without him whining; not even to take a shower. We successfully used Emmett Technique to relax Codie. The owner was taught rudimentary techniques she could use to help him feel calmer in his own company whenever he felt anxious.
Ginny
-
…luckily she survived but was a shadow of her former self. Ginny’s owner called us in as she wasn’t eating and hence becoming weaker.
We administered a few abdominal releases to which Ginny responded positively. Later that day the owner text me to say that after I’d left, Ginny immediately went outside and went to the toilet.
Up until this point, Ginny’s only outdoor excursion was being pushed in a pram around the block. Within 3 weeks the owner reported that Ginny was comfortably walking 2.5km.
Mystie
-
…unfortunately, one day her energy levels instantly and inexplicably dropped. She struggled to get up from the floor and spent her whole day laying down, staring off into space. The vet diagnosed digestive distress but the treatment had no effect. A second diagnosis of inflammation in the lumbar vetebrae was then made.
We treated Mystie with Emmett Technique and on the spot her energy returned. She ran around the house and even jumped up a few times. To this day Mystie receives Emmett regularly for relaxation and also used it as part of her rehabilitation from an ACL tear operation.
Molly
-
…at 2 years old she had already been forced to bear many litters.
Molly was slow, anxious, reclusive and easily scared. Her experience had sent her body in to full time protection-mode; her posture was constantly curled up and she remained close to her owner.
As the course went on she became visibly much more relaxed. At the Level 2 course Molly returned and looked like a completely different dog. We checked her spine and she was actually longer than on the Level 1. Emmett Technique had helped her relax and relieve the stress tension that was affecting her movement and her mode.
Rosie
-
…at 17 years old she was also experiencing muscle wastage and arthritis.
Her owner called us in to treat Rosie with Emmett Technique and was really pleased with the almost instant positive change in her movement.
Kai
-
...which was preventing him from enjoying his walks and causing him to struggle with even the small things like going into the back garden. To improve his quality of life he was treated with Emmett Technique to give him back control. Kai was treated, ongoing, during the last 4 months of his life, sadly after which the owner made the decision to have him put to sleep. The owner was very grateful for the treatment Kai received and told us that because of Emmett Technique, they were both able to experience a good quality time in their last few months together.
Frankie
-
...which, while not uncommon in the bulldog breed, was still a terrible state for poor Frankie. Her owner brought her in for one session of Emmett Technique, after which it was reported the limp had disappeared. Hopefully now Frankie can enjoy her youth to its fullest.
Nessa
-
...we had already used Emmett Technique to successfully treat Nessa's sister, Ginny, who had struggled with digestion issues after chemotherapy.
Nessa responded beautifully and in just 2 sessions was showing big improvements.
Ralph
-
…using the Emmett Technique the dogs became very relaxed and through shared experience became good friends, playing together during our breaks.
Ralph reportedly went home very calmed and chilled out.
Ellie
-
…her owner, being a dog trainer herself, was concerned about a limp that had suddenly presented itself.
After just one session of Emmett Technique, the owner reported the limp had disappeared and that Ellie was doing much better because of it. The owner has since enrolled on our Emmett courses to become a full practitioner.
Barney
-
…although Barney was the life and soul of the party, being 12 at the time, he suffered with some movement restrictions.
After a full 2 days of receiving Emmett treatment Barney became even more energetic and his muscular tension visibly changed in a positive way.
